Phyllis (Zeigler) True

   Phyllis Zeigler True, of Mocksville, NC, departed this world on January 23, 2022.

   Phyllis was born on August 3, 1953, in Bibb County, GA.  She was the daughter of the late Carroll B. Zeigler and Louise Pope Zeigler.

   In life, Phyllis graduated McEvoy Senior High School in Macon, GA.  Later, she began a career in the education field as a teacher’s assistant.  Phyllis worked for Davie County Schools for 25 plus years before retiring.  Phyllis married the love of her life, Gary Franklin True in the fall of 1971.  With their union they had two beautiful daughters.

   Phyllis leaves behind to cherish her memory; her loving husband, Gary True of Mocksville, two daughters, Christy Jacobs (Brian) and Andrea Fain (Thomas), all of Mocksville, a sister, Debbie Sowell (Grier) of Forsyth, GA, four grandchildren, Grace Jacobs, Bethany Jacobs, True Jones and Bentley Rose Rivers, and one great grandson, Greyson Nichols, along with several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews who will all miss her greatly. 

   A Celebration of Life will be held January 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Blaise Baptist Church in Mocksville.  Family will receive visitors around 1:00 pm.

  Family has requested donations to Trellis Supportive Care (Hospice) in lieu of flowers.
